TUPMO Forum event

Representatives of Polish technical universities met on November 6–8 at Gdańsk University of Technology as part of the Technical Universities Project Management Offices Forum, TUPMO Forum. The AGH University was represented by the Director of the Centre for Project Management Support, Dr Adam Lichota.

The event began with a meeting of the Steering Committee participated in by 20 representatives of technical universities.

Then, a third edition of the conference on project management at Polish technical universities took place. As many as 60 delegates from 23 universities took part in it, but there were also Anna Marciniak and Marzena Durkiewicz-Sirocka, experts from the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) who presented guidelines of the approaching open calls and held a session on NCBR’s experiences after the first open calls for the European Funds for Social Development and the evaluation process. The event was also attended by a representative of the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Piotr Zajączkowski, who discussed the guidelines for the employment of personnel in projects FERS 2021-2027. The remaining presentations were made by representatives of the Gdańsk University of Technology (Anna Frej, Kamila Szydłowska, Aleksandra Grajewska) and the AGH University (Adam Lichota).

The main topics of the conference were European Funds, matters related to employment on projects, and the sustainability of projects. University representatives also shared the experiences of their units in the functioning of IT systems supporting the implementation of projects, particularly in the register of fixed assets.

The meeting was a chance to exchange good practices in terms of implementing the projects, as well as to undertake further initiatives related to cooperation and obtaining funds. The participation of experts from the National Centre for Research and Development and the representative of the Ministry created an opportunity for the universities to raise questions and doubts related to running projects in a new perspective.
