Three more MINIATURA 9 grants

The second MINIATURA 9 ranking list includes three AGH University researchers. Owing to grants from the National Science Centre, they will be able to conduct preliminary and pilot research.

  • Dr Katarzyna Śpiewak, Faculty of Energy and Fuels
    subject matter: Assessment of the potential for using textile and rubber waste mixtures in the gasification process.

  • Dr Karol Janus, Faculty of Foundry Engineering
    subject matter: Application of advanced liquid metal engineering to develop strategies for manufacturing composite materials on the matrix of high-entropy alloys
    funds granted: PLN 49,500
     
  • Dr Agnieszka Wojteczko, Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics
    subject matter: Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) as an advanced research method in the analysis of subcritical crack resistance of ZrO₂-Al₂O₃ composites
    funds granted: PLN 49,555

MINIATURA 9 is directed at researchers with a PhD degree obtained no sooner than in 2013, who have not taken advantage of any NCN grant calls, whose scientific achievements include at least one paper published or at least one artistic achievement or achievement in research in art. The subject matter may be any, but must be carried out in the form of preliminary studies, library and archive searches, or research visits over a period of up to 12 months. The grants are supposed to be the starting point for a full-fledged research project.

The second MINIATURA 9 ranking list includes 65 activities for a total of PLN 2.6 million.
