The AGH UST Academic Sports Association athletes won gold for women and bronze for men in team snowboarding during the Academic Championships of Poland. Furthermore, two of our contestants won individual medals and defended their titles: champion in banked slalom (Agnieszka Troszok), and vice-champion in slalom (Jakub Luboński).
Our team, trained by Mariusz Wdówka, comprises: Agnieszka Troszok, Nikolina Góralczyk, Julia Troszok, Maria Tomasik, Daria Wawrzyniak, Lena Wójcikiewicz, Liliana Lubomirska, Jakub Luboński, Tomasz Świderski, Olgierd Duda, Krystian Gaweł, Oskar Soczyński, Stanisław Oleś, Przemysław Sosna, Jakub Ciura.
The AGH UST female snowboarders were better than the teams from the University of Warsaw and the Cracow University of Technology. In the male team snowboarding, the first place went to the University of Warsaw and the second to the Cracow University of Technology.
The competition took place between March 3 and 4, 2023 in Szczawnica, bringing in nearly 270 contestants representing 40 universities. The competition consisted of two challenges: slalom and banked slalom. The organiser of the event was the Academic Sports Association of the University of Silesia in Katowice.
