AGH UST hosted Honeywell representatives

On July 8, 2022, the AGH UST hosted a meeting with Honeywell representatives. Our guests had the opportunity to speak with Professor Wojciech Łużny, Vice-Rector for Education, and Professor Marek Gorgoń, Vice-Rector for Science. The meeting was an opportunity to chart out future areas for cooperation.

Our university authorities and representatives of several AGH UST units hosted the following Honeywell company guests: Suresh Venkatarayalu, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Mark Loughran, President for Central and Eastern Europe, and Piotr Marczuk, Director for Government Relations in Central and Eastern Europe.

The AGH UST authorities emphasised that from the point of view of our university, fruitful cooperation should result, for example, in providing equipment for new workrooms and specialised laboratories. Another important area for collaboration might include implementation doctorates carried out in cooperation with the company.

In the second part of the meeting, the delegation visited the CYFRONET Academic Computer Centre. Our Honeywell guests were introduced to the specs of three CYFRONET supercomputers, which, for the first time, have made it to the TOP500 list of the fastest supercomputers in the world.
