DSD and SEAA Conferences: digital systems and software engineering
  • 02.09.2026
  • 04.09.2026

From 2 to 4 September 2026, the AGH University of Krakow will host two prestigious international conferences, Euromicro Conference on Digital System Design (DSD) and Euromicro Conference on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA). To co-organise the events is the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering.

The conferences provide an important forum for researchers, practitioners, doctoral students, and students to meet. They provide an opportunity to present the latest research findings, discuss the latest trends and innovations, exchange experiences in the fields of software engineering and digital technologies, and network with international experts and industry leaders.

The DSD and SEAA conferences are among the most important events in the calendar of Euromicro, an international scientific, engineering and educational organisation, bringing together specialists from around the world every year.

The chairs of the conferences are Professor Marek Gorgoń and Dr Tomasz Kryjak.

Digital System Design (DSD)

The DSD Conference addresses all aspects of digital and mixed HW/SW system development. The thematic scope of the event includes advanced embedded, high-performance, and cyber-physical applications, system and processor architectures, design methodology and design automation, modern implementation technologies.

Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA)

The SEAA Conference focuses on software engineering and advanced applications in information technology for software-intensive systems.

The event is organised into 10 tracks:

  • CPS: Cyber-Physical Systems
  • DAIDE: Data and AI Driven Engineering
  • ECT: Emerging Computing Technologies
  • EXTRA: Explainable and Trustworthy Applications
  • KKIO: Practical Aspects of Software Engineering
  • MDEML: Model-Driven Engineering and Modelling Languages
  • SM: Software Management: Measurement, Peopleware, and Innovation
  • SMSE: Systematic Literature Reviews and Mapping Studies in Software Engineering
  • SPPI: Software Process and Product Improvement
  • STREAM: Software Analytics: Mining Software Open Datasets and Repositories.

The KKIO session will be organised by Prof. Marcin Szpyrka (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering) and Dr Marian Bubak (Faculty of Computer Science and AGH University Academic Computer Centre Cyfronet).
