AGH UST and GlobalLogic establish cooperation

In September 2021, the AGH UST and GlobalLogic Sp. z o.o. [LLC] signed an agreement on cooperation. The realisation of its provisions has just begun.

The agreement, which charts out the direction in which both parties will head, implies the possibility of organising work placements and internships for students of the AGH UST, supporting university student research clubs, and organising competitions for students. In addition, the parties plan to jointly carry out research and educational projects, including the creation of shared laboratories.

The fulfilment of the agreement’s provisions is coordinated by four faculties: the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management; Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications; Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering; and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics. The choice of these four faculties was related to the direction that they have already been following and the synergy with the GlobalLogic development path, that is, digitalisation (Industry 3.0) and autonomation (Industry 4.0) of the industry.

The cooperation will include data collection, transfer, and analysis, as well as making decisions based thereon, especially in the aspect of artificial intelligence development, steering it towards constant economic efficiency improvement of business processes, with the use of automation and robotisation.

The coordinators are:

  • From the AGH UST: Assoc. Professor Paweł Bogacz, Assoc. Professor Piotr Pacyna, Szczepan Moskwa, DSc, and Tymoteusz Trulej, DSc,
  • From GlobalLogic: Ewa Maleszka-Pabian.
