AGH UST is now part of the Krakow Universities Network

At the initiative of the AGH UST, 11 Krakow-based universities have established the Krakow Universities Network (KUN). The cooperation of several universities aims to facilitate concerted actions leading to increased internationalisation.

Plans behind KUN include first and foremost joint participation in international education fairs, a series of seminars known as the Krakow Staff Week for members of staff from foreign universities, preparation of applications under numerous scholarship programmes, building a well-recognised brand abroad as well as comprehensive promotion activities for the Network.

The Network originated from the initiative called Krakow International Breakfasts, which has been regularly held for over two years now (organised as remote sessions during the pandemic). Initially, the meetings served as an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and discussion of problems related to academic internationalisation. After some time, the idea evolved into a forum for integration of Krakow-based universities and development of a comprehensive model of international cooperation with foreign partners, building an internationally recognisable brand for Polish higher education abroad and, last but not least, reaching out to foreign candidates interested in studying in Krakow.

The proposed model of cooperation largely originated from the experience of individual universities gained during their participation in the “Study in Krakow” Project, which took place between 2008 and 2017.
