The Conference “Energy Security – Pillars and Development Perspective” will focus on the challenges of the energy transition in the context of the security and resilience of the energy system, at both national and local levels. The agenda will cover issues related to the development of renewable energy sources, energy storage and improving energy efficiency, as well as the digitalisation and automation of energy infrastructure, including the use of analytical tools, artificial intelligence, drones and cybersecurity solutions. The discussion will also explore the transformation of the heating sector and the local dimension of energy security, covering the role of local governments, energy communities and local energy balancing mechanisms.
The conference will be attended by representatives of academia, local authorities and companies. As in previous editions, participants will have the opportunity to publish articles in peer-reviewed academic journals.
The event is organised by the Ignacy Lukasiewicz Institute for Energy Policy in cooperation with the Rzeszow University of Technology.
