The AGH University of Krakow has entered into cooperation with Arteris Poland Sp. z o.o., a global provider of advanced IP solutions in the field of microelectronics. The partnership aims to strengthen research and education in the field of modern semiconductor technologies.
The cooperation will involve:
The planned activities will include:
On the part of AGH University, the cooperation will be coordinated by Dr Robert Szczygieł, associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering, while at Arteris Poland, the coordinator will be Dr Adam Morawiec.
As highlighted by Professor Rafał Wiśniowski, AGH University Vice-Rector for Cooperation:
“The continuation of our partnership with Arteris reflects our shared vision of educating students by providing them with practical experience in advanced semiconductor design and by closely linking academic research with real-world industrial challenges. Through this partnership, participants gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies while actively helping drive innovation and shape the future of the global semiconductor industry.
The agreement was concluded on 16 April 2026 by Vice-Rector for Cooperation Professor Rafał Wiśniowski and Arteris CEO Karel Charles Janac.
Arteris is an internationally recognised supplier of advanced IP solutions for microelectronics. The company offers design methodologies and IP components that enable the efficient design of interconnects in the most complex integrated circuits, manufactured using 3–5 nm processes. Arteris’ solutions enable increased chip performance, reduced energy consumption and lower costs, supporting the development of systems based on artificial intelligence, machine learning, automotive systems, telecommunications, data centres and space technologies.
Last year, the company opened its new office in Krakow; its engineering hub is located in ‘Sienkiewiczówka’, a historic building that belongs to AGH University.
