Hats off! AGH University Alumni Day 2023 is already behind us

At the break of November and December 2023, almost 600 AGH University alumni took part in symbolic graduation ceremonies, AGH University Alumni Days.

As many as eight graduation ceremonies were held consecutively on November 17, 18, 25, 30 and December 9 in the AGH University Assembly Hall, with each date intended for two faculties with one exception. The festive attire of the graduating students, togas and birettas, prepared especially for the occasion, added to the rank and solemnity of the event. Our alumni looked truly dignified in them.

The ceremonies were also special for the faculties, as faculty authorities, theses supervisors, and employees participated in them. It is gratifying that the graduation celebration was so well attended by our academic community. Of course, there was no shortage of families and friends of those graduating.

Alumni received congratulatory letters. They will certainly remember the statement addressed to them by a representative of university authorities:

“You probably used to say the words I am from the AGH University quite frequently, and you still can, for your entire life. We would like them to remain an important element of your identity and for you to be proud of graduating from the AGH University, just as we are proud of your past and future achievements.”

Included in the agenda of each ceremony were motivational lectures delivered by accomplished AGH University graduates and alumni from previous years as well as a speech by a representative of the AGH University Student Government.

There was some time for group and individual photos. The cameras captured the graduates throwing their hats up in the air, which will surely be a symbolic and joyful memory. What is more, graduates could keep their birettas as a memento of the event.
