Functioning of the university between 28 February and 30 June 2022

From February 28, 2022, the AGH UST reverts to on-site functioning. Below are the most important extracts from the new Rector’s Order (14/2022) (in Polish), which will remain in force until June 30, 2022.

Full text of the AGH UST Rector’s Order No. 14/2022 of February 22, 2022 (in Polish).

General principles

The AGH UST carries out all its tasks on site, with the possibility to use electronic communication tools.

In its daily activities, the university applies restrictions arising from the necessity to protect its community from Sars-Cov-2 infection, including regulations introduced by state authorities.

Education and student affairs

All activities and proceedings related to the education of students at the university, including full- and part-time studies, postgraduate courses, and other forms of education, will be carried out on site, within university premises.

Doctoral students

All activities and proceedings related to the education of doctoral students are carried out within university premises. Establishing rules for conducting research work by doctoral students on the premises of the university remains at the discretion of units conducting research.

Functioning of the university

The university introduced a two-step internal document circulation:

  • Between individual buildings – carried out exclusively by a team of delivery persons designated by the Main Secretary Office
  • Inside individual buildings – carried out by designated employees of individual units.

The gatehouse in the C-1 building is the only place where you can submit documents for all central administrative units.

The university remains a place where direct contact is limited to minimum in favour of remote relations with the use of electronic communication means, applicable especially in:

  • Reporting cases using electronic mail or phones
  • Organising the system of document transfer without direct contac
  • Providing potential clients with detailed information on a unit’s website
  • Introducing the rule of presumption of completeness and conformity of documents and remote agreement on the contents and forms thereof.

Sanitary safety

All members of the academic community are strictly forbidden to appear on the premises of the AGH UST with symptoms of an infection, regardless of its causes.

Employees, students, doctoral students, clients, visitors, and other individuals are obliged to respect the following rules in the university buildings:

  • Use masks that cover your nose and mouth
  • Use chemical disinfectants for your hands and surface
  • Maintain social distance of at least 1.5 m.

Functioning of the university administration

In the time specified in this Order, all units are obliged to operate and carry out all their tasks normally. Especially, the following services should be provided:

  • Possibility of handling affairs by clients with direct personal contact as the primary mode of operation
  • Uninterrupted acceptance, processing, and transfer of professional document
  • Signing of documents by authorised persons
  • On-site support of all activities.

To ensure the completion of tasks, administrative units should operate on working days between 7:30 and 15:30.

Case reporting and reacting in the event of epidemiological occurrences

All members of the academic community are advised to check the AGH UST website and their electronic mailboxes, as all information related primarily to the changes or modifications of the regulations specified in this Order will be delivered via these media.

Employees, students, and doctoral students are obliged to notify the university immediately if:

  • They test positive for the Sars-Cov-2 virus, providing information on the duration of isolation
  • They are referred to quarantine.
