The EUDIS Defence Hackathon and Mentoring Spring 2026 is just around the corner. Register by 20 March for an opportunity to use your experience, skills and knowledge to address the most pressing defence challenges. The Polish edition of the hackathon will be hosted by the Krakow Technology Park from 26 to 28 March under the brand of FORT Kraków, a joint undertaking of AGH University and Krakow Technology Park.

The theme of the 2026 Spring EUDIS Hackathon is Defending Airspace.

The teams will work on solutions in three categories:

  • cost-effective drone interceptors
  • next generation drone detection systems
  • defence against cognitive warfare

For whom?

The hackathon is addressed at teams of two to five persons with technological and business skills, such as start-ups, engineering teams, and specialists. The main focus is on teams that already have an MVP, a prototype, or a validated concept and are ready to take the next step. The teams will be supported by professional military, technological and business mentors. All participants must be at least 18 years old and be citizens of an EU country, Norway or Ukraine.

To register, refer to a dedicated hackathon website. The deadline is 20 March.

Prizes

The top three teams will receive monetary prizes (prize pool of EUR 10,000). The hackathon winners will also gain access to 40 hours of mentoring programme held over two months to support them in building sustainable and successful businesses, introducing them to important defence knowledge and contacts.

It brings together talented individuals from across Europe to work together on key challenges related to defence, cybersecurity and resilience.
