Knowledge may be useful in solving global problems, but it also may give its holder an advantage over everyone else. Unfortunately, we are facing the rivalry between countries, blocks, and global corporations. During the meeting, the rectors discussed the role of universities as knowledge creators and how they should define their public mission in the currently divided world.
