Premiere of the new AGH Racing combustion engine car

Fast, light, reliable – those are the characteristics of the AGH Racing team's new combustion car, RTC 8. The premiere of the vehicle along with a demonstration run on the race track took place on July 20, 2023 at Moto Park Krakow.

RTC 8.0 is the tenth car of the team and also the eighth internal combustion engine. The construction is based on a half-monocoque and a steel frame. Better vehicle handling is the result of improved frame stiffness. Reducing the mass of the monocoque's composite bearing structure resulted in the car's lighter weight. Introduced modifications to the drive system as well as the use of an electronic throttle are some of the factors which affect the reliability. The light construction and very good dynamics are ensured by numerous elements made of carbon fiber as well as those printed in 3D technology.

The AGH Racing team already has some plans related to the latest construction, i.e. participation in the international competition of the Formula Student series. Later in July, RTC 8.0 will race in Austria. Static competitions await and after the technical inspection, also dynamic competitions – firstly, at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Then, in August, the Formula Student East competition, which takes place on the Hungarian Hungaroring track near Budapest, Formula Student Czech Republic and Formula Student Alpe Adria in Croatia.
