AGH University with a nomination for Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Award

The AGH University was nominated for the Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Award 2023 in Natural Sciences which is awarded to universities with the most significant impact on scientific research in Poland, therefore contributing to better recognition of Polish science.

The Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Award was established in 2016 by Elsevier, a global information analytics company. The award is presented in six categories: Engineering&Technologies, Agricultural Sciences, Humanities, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences.

Winners in particular categories are determined on the basis of an algorithm taking into account the percentage increase in the number of publications (weight 15%) and authors (weight 10%), citation index (weight 30%), international cooperation (weight 20%) and publications in Top 10 journals (weight 25%). The scope of data for the 2023 award covered the period 2020–2022.

The Elsevier Research Award gala was held on 26th October in Łódź, during the plenary and presidium meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland. The AGH University Rector, Professor Jerzy Lis, received the commemorative diploma on behalf of the AGH University.
