Most prestigious AGH University publishing achievements announced (2023 edition)

The Rector’s Committee for Science decided on the winners of the competition for the most prestigious publishing achievement (2023 edition).

After an insightful discussion concerning the submitted papers, the following awards were presented: 

  • 1st degree award for the publication in Nature submitted by Prof. Dr hab. Eng. Jacek Kitowski from the Faculty of Computer Science; 
  • two equal 2nd degree awards for:  
    • the publication in IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorial submitted by Dr hab. Eng. Szymon Szott, AGH University associate professor from the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics, and Communications, 
    • the publication in Physics Report submitted by Dr hab. Andrzej Biborski, AGH University associate professor from the Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology; 
  • 3rd degree award for the publication in Nature Communications submitted by Dr Joanna Fiedor from the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science. 

The rank of the journal, among other factors, was taken into consideration when establishing the position in the ranking.
