Three more mini grants for AGH University researchers

The National Science Centre has just announced the sixth MINIATURA 9 ranking list which includes three mini grants for preliminary and pilot research by AGH University researchers.

  • Dr Jakub Mokrzycki, Faculty of Energy and Fuels
    subject matter: Adsorption of phosphate ions with zeolites from fly ash
    funds granted: PLN 22,000
     
  • Dr Ludwin Molina Arias, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering
    subject matter: The impact of voluntary breathing modulation on locomotor–respiratory coupling during walking and running
    funds granted: PLN 46,750
     
  • Dr Beata Zygmunt-Kowalska, Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science
    subject matter: Sustainable improvement of rigid polyurethane foam using silanised lignocellulose additive
    funds granted: PLN 49,786

In the sixth MINIATURA 9 call, 150 more researchers were granted funds to implement their activities for the total of PLN 6 million.

The call was addressed at researchers who obtained their doctoral degree after 1 January 2013. They could be granted funding for the implementation of their projects amounting from PLN 5,000 to 50,000. The funds may be used to carry out research activities in the form of preliminary studies, library and archive searches, research visits, and, for the first time ever, the support of a mentor in the preparation of a research framework to be submitted in other, future NCN calls.
