From 18 to 23 July 2026, the AGH University of Krakow will host the 18th edition of the European Conference on Python in Science, or EuroSciPy, one of Europe’s leading conferences on the use of Python in scientific research.

The event will bring together researchers, software developers, and practitioners from various fields, creating a space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences as well as for the presentation of the latest developments in the field of scientific computing.

EuroSciPy focuses on the use of Python in scientific research, data analysis, modelling, and simulations. The conference programme covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • basic tools and infrastructure (development of Python scientific libraries, frameworks and performance optimisation, best programming practices)
  • fields of science (applications of Python in life sciences and biomedicine, physical sciences and engineering, environmental and Earth sciences, data analysis, modelling and simulation),
  • artificial intelligence and machine learning (large language models and neural networks, new AI algorithms, practical applications of AI that impact research and society)
  • interdisciplinary research (Python applications at interdisciplinary frontiers, integration of research approaches to solve complex problems).

The conference is aimed at people at every stage of their career: students, doctoral students, early-career researchers, experienced scientists, software developers, and industry professionals. The event is open to both those new to using Python in research and long-standing contributors to the open-source community.
