The aim of the programme is to support the international mobility of doctoral students, researchers, and academic teachers from Polish institutions by enabling them to conduct their research in renowned foreign institutions around the world.
Research fellowships (3 to 24 months) shall allow researchers to stay in recognised research centres and to implement projects with eminent foreign researchers and research teams as well as establish long-term relationships. For young researchers, the Bekker Programme will be also an opportunity for postdoctoral fellowships, while for doctoral students it can be the part of their education.
Last year, the most popular research institutions were the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The most widely represented disciplines are the natural sciences, engineering, medicine and agriculture.
