Students actively working in student research clubs have an opportunity to present their current achievements in research and construction on 9 May 2024 at the AGH University during the 61st Conference of the AGH University Student Research Groups, the largest such student academic event in Poland. The event traditionally accompanies the celebration of the Metallurgist’s Day.

The papers will be presented in the following sections:

  • space exploration and technologies,
  • acoustics, biomechanics, and bioengineering,
  • automatic control, robotics, and autonomous systems,
  • electrical and power engineering,
  • energy engineering and thermal ecotechnologies,
  • renewable and nuclear energy engineering and advanced fuels,
  • computer science and artificial intelligence,
  • applied computer science,
  • chemistry and engineering materials,
  • metals engineering,
  • welding,
  • mechanical and mechatronic engineering,
  • physical metallurgy and surface engineering,
  • foundry engineering, metallurgy, and recycling,
  • metal forming and modern manufacturing processes,
  • information and communication technologies and cybersecurity.

“We kindly invite all students to participate in the event, not only from the AGH University Student Research Clubs but also from outside our Alma Mater. We encourage you to invite your friends active in research clubs of other technical universities from Poland and abroad!” says Dr Joanna Augustyn-Nadzieja, Rector's Proxy for Student Research Clubs.

The authors of the best papers will receive prizes, financial ones for laureates from the AGH University and in-kind ones for students of other universities. What is more, the best application papers with construction value and theoretical papers with scientific value (innovation of research) will also be recognised.

It is worth noting that the first-place winners will be able to publish their articles in a monograph included on the list of publishing houses publishing reviewed scientific monographs of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (with a score of 80 points). A high indexed publication enables you to apply for the scholarship of the AGH University Rector.
