Krakow DIANA Accelerator as the main topic of the President's visit

The Krakow Technology Park, which is to lead the Polish site of the NATO defence innovation accelerator – Krakow DIANA Accelerator – together with the AGH University, has been visited by the Polish President, Andrzej Duda, on 27 March 2024. The AGH University Rector, Professor Jerzy Lis, and the Rector’s Proxy for NATO DIANA, Izabela Albrycht, attended the meeting on behalf of the AGH University.

“These two forces, the Krakow Technology Park and the AGH University of Krakow, are going to create an environment for technological growth for the Alliance’s defence, and NATO will finance these actions. (...) This extensive development project by NATO will surely contribute to the development of modern economy in NATO countries and, above all, in Poland,” claimed Andrzej Duda during his visit in the Krakow Technology Park and stressed that the project is an opportunity for the young, including young engineering and management staff.

Representatives of the AGH University and the Krakow Technology Park presented the plans and perspectives concerning the implementation of the Krakow Diana Accelerator to the Polish president, including the main assumptions and key areas in which Poland will support the allied countries, such as energy-related technologies, resources, IT systems, AI, electronics, control and crisis management systems.
