Sport and Recreational Facilities

The AGH UST sets the bar really high in terms of the promotion of physical activity, sports, and a healthy lifestyle.

The University sport and recreation facilities are adapted to meet the needs of people with disabilities and include the following:

In 2020, the construction of a multi-purpose sports hall has begun, which is the answer to the growing demand voiced by the academic community and numerous sports clubs of the AZS AGH. The new 5-storey building will serve predominantly as a sports and entertainment facility. The centre will be able to accommodate a training session of the competitive sports section and major-league volleyball, basketball, and handball matches at the same time. The building will comprise an arena with stands for approximately 600 rooters, including a field for team games and badminton. Additionally, athletes and players will be welcome to use the gym, regenerative spaces such as saunas or massage rooms, and squash courts. The total usable floor area of the facility will exceed 7,000 m2. A fragment of the roof will become a green terrace.
