More than PLN 1.4 million for the best student projects from the AGH UST

The Ministry of Education and Science announced the results of the third call for “Najlepsi z najlepszych! 4.0.” project [The best from the best! 4.0.]. As many as 11 AGH UST-based student projects will receive funding, the total amount of which is PLN 1,405,352.09. The money will allow our students to participate in international competitions and conferences.

The project with grants

  • Supporting the development of exceptionally gifted students of Acoustic Engineering through the participation in international interdisciplinary competitions and conferences
    The sum awarded: PLN 51,250.00
     
  • A trip to the international F1 TENTH competition
    The sum awarded: PLN 157,500.00
     
  • Research in the fields of space engineering and biology using a sounding rocket made by AGH Space Systems and the participation in international competitions and conferences
    The sum awarded: PLN 175,000.00
     
  • The development of an interdisciplinary project in the field of mobile robotics – the planetary rover, Kalman, research in the field of space geology, and the participation in international competitions and conferences

  • An intelligent failure prediction and detection system for the elements of automated systems

  • The participation and presentation of research and its physical effects at the European Hyperloop Week international conference – with the “AGH HYPERLOOP” project

  • AGH Solar Plane – participation in international competitions for unmanned aircraft
    The sum awarded: PLN 150,000.00
     
  • International, rated competition for vehicles equipped with AI autonomous systems in various categories, including AI/CV/EV/DRIVERLESS
    The sum awarded: PLN 50,000.00
     
  • AGH Solar Boat – participation in international competitions for solar and autonomous boats
    The sum awarded: PLN 100,000.00
     
  • AGH Racing – International SAE/FS races
    The sum awarded: PLN 180,000.00
     
  • The development of applying artificial intelligence for the control of drones, mobile robots, and manipulators – participation in international competitions and presentation of results at scientific conferences
    The sum awarded: PLN 80,000.00

The idea behind this competition, carried out within the Knowledge Education Development operational programme co-funded by the European Social Fund, is to support gifted students.

This year, 119 offers were submitted for merit-based assessment by a team of experts. Ultimately, the Minister of Education and Science granted funding for 104 applications for a total sum of PLN 10,615,228.74.
