During the Formula Student Netherlands event, AGH Racing got the best results in the team’s history, winning three cups in the combustion class and taking fifth place overall.

The four-day competition held from 9 to 12 July at Assen racing tracks saw 46 teams. AGH UST presented two cars (in two categories): Grażyna – a recently upgraded combustion car and Stanisław, which is a brand new electric design.

On day 1, the teams went through registration and technical clearance. During the second day of the competition, after another technical inspection, which the combustion car got through very quickly, the team got the vehicle ready for dynamic events. Late in the afternoon, our students managed to attempt the first one – Ski Pad. The team was also working on the electric car as they collected valuable information from more experienced teams and followed guidelines and instructions received from judges. In the meantime, three static events: Business Presentation, Cost & Manufacturing and Design had been held.

The two dynamic events: Acceleration and Autocross took place on 11 July. The AGH Racing Team won the former and came second in the latter, this securing their starting position in the last event – Endurance.

We are extremely happy with our results. It has been the best performance in the team’s history so far, winning three cups. We demonstrated real prowess in Acceleration, Skid Pad and Autocross. We also almost made it to the top three in Business Presentation ending up fourth. During this event we proved our strong standing among Formula Student teams – said Konrad Pajdzik.

Cups were awarded in the following categories:

  • 1 place – Acceleration
  • 2 place – Skid-Pad
  • 2 place – Autocross
