AGH UST comes first among Polish technical universities in University Ranking by Academic Performance


The AGH University of Science and Technology won the 1st place among Polish technical universities in the latest edition of the “University Ranking by Academic Performance”. 

 

It should be noted that AGH UST has also climbed to the third place among nearly all 40 Polish universities in the ranking. Moreover, the university has also advanced to the 502nd position among the world universities in comparison with the previous edition of the ranking (545th place in 2015).

The results of the ranking are based on information regarding the indexes of citations and scientific publications (digital databases and bibliometric sources, e.g. “Web of Science”)   

 

The “University Ranking by Academic Performance“ is prepared by Middle East Technical University in Ankara. Universities are assessed in six categories: articles, scientific research activity, publications in leading scientific magazines, citation measured by the number of the most popular publications, and international collaboration. 

 

The top positions in the ranking were taken by US universities. Harvard University was ranked first, followed by the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford.
