On October 21, 2022 in Lublin, the official round-up of the 2021/2022 season of the Academic Championships of Poland took place. The best athletes, trainers, and universities that made it to the podium were rewarded. In the overall ranking, the AGH UST came third in this past season and second among technical universities.
On behalf of the Academic Sports Association (AZS AGH), the awards were accepted by Professor Jarosław Jakubski, President of AZS AGH, and Professor Rafał Dańsko, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs.
Let us not forget that our university made it to the team podium of the Academic Championships 14 times this past season. According to the medal table, we closed the season with 6 gold, 6 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
The Championships of 2021/2022 have seen 20,000 students representing 130 universities from all over Poland. After two years of the pandemic and the organisational difficulties related thereto, the athletes were finally able to compete in all competitions according to the schedule.
