The team of mountain bikers from the AGH University Academic Sports Association won second place in the general classification of the Academic Championships of Poland. Furthermore, one of our contestants, Joanna Głowacka – won two individual medals: silver and bronze.
In the technical universities category, the AGH University won a gold medal in the team classification; and in the women classification in both individual competitions, the entire podium went to our bikers: Joanna Głowacka, Larysa Lubowiecka, and Natalia Czop.
The Academic Championships of Poland in mountain biking took place between May 9 and 11, 2023 in Krakow. The organiser was the AGH University Academic Sports Association with the support of the AGH University of Krakow.
More than 200 competitors from 50 higher education institutions rode the track in Lasek Wolski. The track was 4 km long and had an incline of about 180 metres.
This year, due to changes in technical rules and regulations, the general classification (for teams) included both men and women.
