On 21st March 2019, the Senate of the Republic of Poland adopted a resolution on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

From the text of the resolution:

The Senate of the Republic of Poland, by the act of adopting the resolution on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, intends to recognise the merit and day-to-day efforts of many generations of employees and graduates of the Mining Academy and AGH UST, who have been of great service to Poland. We want the successive generations connected with AGH UST to contribute to the social and economic development of our Nation and State. We have sincere hope that the further development of the AGH University of Science and Technology will be consistent with the particularly dynamic development of engineering and technology, and with the building of information society and economy based on knowledge, which embrace all areas of our life.

The resolution is an initiative of a group of senators of the Law and Justice political party (Polish: Prawo i Sprawiedliwość) and a senator of the Civic Platform (Polish: Platforma Obywatelska), who are AGH UST graduates.
