On 24 May 2019 the AGH-UST’s 100th Anniversary Mural was officially revealed to the public at AGH UST Campus.

The ceremony was attended by, among other guests, the University Rector – Professor Tadeusz Słomka, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs – Professor Anna Siwik, Vice-Rector for Education – Professor Wojciech Łużny, acting also as the Chairman of the official AGH UST’s 100th Anniversary Committee, the management of AGH UST Campus – mgr inż. Radosław Serwicki and dr inż. Grzegorz Król and – last, but not least – Anna Wardęga, the author of the mural.

The competition was launched in October 2018, at the time when the official anniversary celebrations started, and the winner was announced in late November 2018. Anna Wardęga, who authored the winning entry, is a third-year student at the Faculty of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland.

The mural is one of the forms of commemorating the 100th anniversary of AGH University of Science and Technology in the urban space of Kraków. The painting can be viewed on a wall of ‘Stokrotka’ Dormitory at Rostafińskiego 2. The piece very aptly represents both the character of the university as well as the specific nature of AGH UST Campus.
