AGH UST and Ericpol sign collaboration agreement

On 7th May 2012, the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow signed a collaboration agreement with Ericpol, a leading IT company.

The agreement confirms the collaboration between Ericpol and the university so far, but it also extends this collaboration to other fields of activity. The partnership assumes conducting joint scientific-research projects, tests and expert evaluations, offering work experience, organising seminars, symposia, conferences and trainings, as well as specialist courses and postgraduate programmes.

The ceremony of signing the document took place in the conference room of the AGH UST Rector's office. The agreement was signed by professor Jerzy Lis, AGH UST Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development, and Paweł Szczerkowski, the Managing Director of Ericpol.

- The company competes on the international market. We must be the best in the areas of efficiency, flexibility, competence and innovativeness. All this depends on people who make up a company and organisations, with which companies collaborate. AGH UST is one of the best technical universities in Poland and our collaboration will have an influence on the company and its position on the market, said Paweł Szczerkowski, the Managing Director of Ericpol. Professor Jerzy Lis, AGH UST Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development, added:  - To a large extent, the collaboration with Ericpol is natural - many university graduates have already found employment in the Kraków branch of the company. I am happy that this collaboration is going to be even tighter now. Among others, the beneficiaries will be our students.
