Professor Janusz Szmyd elected President of EUROTHERM Committee

Professor Janusz Szmyd has been elected the President of EUROTHERM Committee. The term of office will last four years. 

Professor Janusz Szmyd has been a representative of Poland in the EUROTHERM Committee since 2004. He was the president of the organising committee and the scientific committee of the EUROTHERM conference held in Krakow in 2016. 

The EUROTHERM Committee was established in Brussels on 16th October 1986. Its aim is to tighten collaboration in the fields of science, research and education between European universities and scientific research institutions operating the area of mass, speed, and heat transfer. The Committee promotes the achievements of European science and research. It organises specialist seminars and regular European conferences, awards prizes and distinctions for the best doctoral dissertations, and strengthens international collaboration.
