Functioning of the AGH UST from October 1

Since October 1, 2021, AGH University of Science and Technology resumes on-site functioning.

General Principles

The university abides by all restrictions that stem from the necessity of protection against Sars-Cov-2 virus infection, including those introduced by the government.

All members of the academic community are prohibited from entering the AGH UST premises should they present symptoms of any illness, regardless of its causes.

Since October 1, 2021, all activities regarding the education process of full- and part-time studies, postgraduate programmes, or other forms of study, are held on-site, at the AGH UST Campus.

Student ID cards remain valid until October 14, 2021.

Doctoral students

As long as this ordinance remains in force, activities regarding the education process of doctoral students will be held on-site. The regulations pertaining to scientific research conducted by doctoral students on university premises are determined by the heads of units carrying out research.

Doctoral student ID cards remain valid until October 14, 2021.

Functioning of the AGH UST

All relevant information on the safety procedures in force in every building should be placed in written form on all entrance doors.

The university takes the utmost care to reduce to absolute minimum the opportunity of direct contact in favour of online communication, using electronic means of communication.

A record of persons coming in contact with other persons on the AGH UST premises is kept.

Since October 1, 2021, changing rooms resume their functioning.

Sanitary safety

All members of the academic community: staff, students, doctoral students, as well as claimants and guests should apply the means of personal sanitary protection, as well as keep social distance when on the premises of the AGH UST:

  • Face masks covering the nose and mouth
  • Chemical disinfectants for hands and objects
  • Social distancing in all AGH UST buildings: at least 1.5 m apart

During classes or meetings and gatherings of statutory assemblies, as well as professional meetings of staff, there is a possibility of modifying the rules governing the application of protective masks:

  • Teachers and speakers are exempted from wearing face masks
  •  Other people are advised to wear a face mask, especially if it is impossible to maintain a social distance of 1.5 m.

The scope of exemption from wearing face masks remains at the discretion of the teacher or meeting leader.

Other exemptions from the use of protective masks are the following:

  • Persons who work individually in an office
  • In offices where all employees are vaccinated
  • On the premises of the AGH UST, if the social distance is maintained (1.5m)

As long as this ordinance remains in force, administrative units work normally and perform all tasks according to schedule (in the usual working hours between 7.30 and 15.30 on working days).
