AGH UST programmes among the best in Poland


AGH University of Science and Technology has been ranked one of the top universities in the 2018 Ranking of Engineering Studies published by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation. The second edition of the ranking comprised 21 most popular disciplines in technical education. According to the Grand Jury, AGH UST provides best engineering programmes in as many as eight fields of study.

The winners in this year’s edition of the ranking were: Warsaw University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology (eight programmes took 1st place, seven programmes came second and two – third), Silesian University of Technology and Wrocław University of Technology. The principles of the ranking, including criteria and weights, were formulated by the Grand Jury headed by Professor Michał Kleiber. The Grand Jury was composed of both higher education experts as well as representatives of various industry sectors.

The study programmes were evaluated on the basis of 12 indicators grouped into six criteria: prestige, career prospects for graduates, academic potential, research efficiency, teaching potential and innovation.
