The main idea of the artists is to create a spectacular show being an ultramodern stage collage combining the past, the present, and the future. A journey in time and space – where the past inspires the future. KIDS OF EVOLUTION is an effective story about a land inhabited by the titular heroes of different generations, whose common interest for a century has been a passion for discovering, and a hunger for knowledge of the unknown…

From the pages of history

The traditions of the Mining Academy date back to the times of the Ore Commission, established in 1782, and the Academic-Mining School in Kielce, established in 1816 on the initiative of Stanisław Staszic. As a result of many-year endeavours, Polish engineers, the Galician members of parliament, and Krakow authorities, in 1913 led to the establishment of a mining school in Krakow. The outbreak of World War I made it impossible to begin the first academic year.

1919 – OPENING

When Poland regained its independence, the Organising Committee recommenced its work, and on 8th April 1919, the Council of Ministers passed a resolution to establish and open the Mining Academy in Krakow. The first professors were nominated on 1st May 1919. On 20th October 1919, the Mining Academy was inaugurated by Marshal Józef Piłsudski, Chief of State.

Together we can create events that will make history.
