Between July 13 and 15, 2022, at the AGH UST Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology, the 8th international Focused Electron Beam-Induced Processing (FEBIP2022) science conference will take place.
The event will focus on a growing field of nanotechnology related to the production of nanostructural materials using electron-beam lithography.
The chief objectives of the conference are to discuss the most recent research results, exchange experiences, educate young academics, develop contact networks, implement joint research projects in the future, and chart out new trends in nanotechnology. Experts with world-renowned academic achievement from prestigious research centres have confirmed their arrival and. They will give presentations in five thematic sessions dedicated to interactions between electrons/ions with matter, syntheses of new precursors, digestion of materials using precursor gases, applications of 3D nanostructures in superconductivity and magnetism, and uses of electrons for molecular dissociation in the process of atomic layer deposition (ALD).
The sessions will be accompanied by talks on the most recent research results in the form of oral and poster presentations.
An important aspect related to the organisation of this conference is the development and integration of the local Krakow scientific network and the popularisation of the conference theme within the academic environment of Poland, and especially Krakow. An additional goal is to promote research carried out at the ACMiN and other institutions closely cooperating with the unit, such as the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre.
FEBIP2022 is a recurrent event. It has been organised every two years since 2006. This year’s edition is part of a larger event called Focused Charged Particle Beam Week.
