SUMMARY:Discussion panel on Fulbright scholarship
DESCRIPTION:The meeting entitled “Who Benefits from the Polish-American Aca
 demic Exchange?” is open to all interested, including those who plan to app
 ly and those who want to learn more about the Fulbright scholarship. It is 
 an excellent opportunity to listen to the stories of former scholarship hol
 ders and learn about the application process and the benefits of participat
 ing in an academic exchange.\n\nThe discussion will feature:\n\n 	Professor
  Ewa Syta – Chair of Computer Science at Trinity College (Hartford, Connect
 icut), this year's Fulbright U.S. Scholar at NASK – National Research Insti
 tute in Warsaw; 	Professor Marta Soniewicka – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of L
 aw and Administration at the Jagiellonian University, graduate of the Fulbr
 ight Senior Award 2010–2011 at Boston University; 	Dr Joanna Szuszkiewicz –
  senior scientist at Ryvu Therapeutics, graduate of the Fulbright Junior Re
 search Award 2020–2021 at Yale University; 	Łukasz Chyla – Fulbright Ambass
 ador in Krakow, graduate of the Fulbright Junior Research Award 2022–2023 a
 t Columbia Law School in New York. \n\nThe session moderator will be Anna K
 ertyczak, member of the Polish-US Fulbright Commission.\n\nParticipation in
  the meeting is free and does not require registration.\n\nThe Fulbright Pr
 ogram was established in 1946. It is the largest academic exchange and cult
 ural programme in the United States. Its graduates include 62 Nobel Prize w
 inners and 89 Pulitzer Prize winners. The Fulbright Program has been operat
 ing in Poland since 1959 and has over 5,000 graduates, who often emphasise 
 that it has simply changed their lives. This group includes, among others, 
 former US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski, who first came to Warsaw in
  1991 as a Fulbright Scholar.\n\nMore about the Fulbright Program
