The results of the most recent international THE Emerging Economies Rankings 2018 have just been announced. The AGH University of Science and Technology came second out of all Polish technical universities and was rated in the 201-250 band in the general classification.

The Emerging Economies University Rankings 2018 published by the Times Higher Education compare universities from countries known as ‘emerging markets’. The latest ranking lists 378 institutions of higher education from 42 countries, including 12 Polish universities.

The Emerging Economies Ranking is based on several indicators assessing universities in terms of their performance in relation to their core mission – education, research, citations, transfer of knowledge and international outlook. The methodology behind the ranking has been fine-tuned to better reflect the specific character and priorities of higher education institutions in emerging economies. More emphasis is put on, among other things, the relations between universities and the industry as well as on their international orientation.
