The combustion engine racing car named ‘Grażyna’ came third in the Acceleration event – an acceleration test taken over a distance of 75 metres held as part of Formula SAE Michigan 2019. The car entered by the AGH Racing team took 15th place overall.

The competition, which ran for a few days, started with technical inspection, during which the car was checked for compliance with the rules of the competition as well as safety standards. The AGH Racing team passed the test and got all labels required for dynamic events. The static events were held the following day as students presented technological solutions applied in the car’s design as well as cost estimates and business plan. For the last two days of the competition the participating teams tried their luck in the dynamic events, where ‘Grażyna’ could prove its worth on track.

Below we show AGH Racing team’s performance in individual events:

  • Acceleration – 3
  • Autocross – 10
  • Cost Report – 12
  • Endurance – 18
  • Engineering Design – 19
