Hoborski Science Days at AGH UST


On the occasion of Hoborski Science Days at AGH UST and the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, a ceremonial session of the AGH UST Senate took place in the AGH University of Science and Technology on 16th November 2017.

Hoborski Science Days is one of the official AGH UST celebrations. The main purpose of the event is to popularize the necessity of development of science and the consciousness of its proper teaching, especially within the high school and higher education teachers communities as well as industry – the latter as the consumer of the effects of conducted research and potential employer.

Prof. Antoni Maria Hoborski – ingenious mathematician who was the first rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology in years 1920–1922, he was also the dean of the first Faculty of Mining. His scientific, didactic and organization activities are a great example of combining the basic scientific research with technical applications.

The main celebrations of Hoborski Science Days at AGH UST took place on 16-19 November 2017.
